Modern Connections

One of the most important tenets for me in this inquiry is that of tying what I learn in history to the present. That really is, after all, the contribution history has for us today: allowing us to examine what happened before through varied perspectives and apply those lessons to modern developments. So, I’ll be tracking and elucidating connections between the historical themes I’m researching and modern evidence that those themes are still valuable to us today.
